Aurora Digita is the seller of record for every purchase made on this site — you are contracting with Aurora Digita, not directly with the supplier named below, and every payment is received in full by Aurora Digita alone (see Section 4).

2. What Die Tonteldoos Aurora Digita Provides

Die Tonteldoos is a dedicated storefront for new and home-made products, sourced exclusively from Die Tonteldoos (Rika Joubert)'s physical shop in Waverley, Pretoria. Die Tonteldoos is operated as a distinct catalogue and browsing experience from Aurora Digita's other stores (such as Logos and Computatrum) — the stores are never merged or cross-listed.

An account registered on Die Tonteldoos is the same account used across the wider Aurora Digita Universe (Nexus, Chatty, and other Aurora Digita services) — see Section 3.

4. Payment

From your side as a customer, Die Tonteldoos works exactly like a simple, single-recipient store: every payment you make is a single, ordinary transaction made directly and in full to Aurora Digita. No payment is split at the point of sale, and your payment gateway transaction reflects only one recipient — Aurora Digita.

Internal revenue-sharing arrangement (does not affect what you pay): behind the scenes, Aurora Digita and Die Tonteldoos (Rika Joubert), as the supplier of the products sold on this site, have agreed an internal revenue split of every sale (after VAT):

RecipientShareBasis
Die Tonteldoos (Rika Joubert) — Supplier 85% Compensation for the products supplied and fulfilled
Aurora Digita — Platform 15% Website, account system, payment processing, and platform maintenance

This split is disbursed by Aurora Digita to Die Tonteldoos periodically (currently via direct EFT, on a weekly or monthly payout run), in the same way Aurora Digita currently manages payouts to independent creators on its Appspec service. It is a private commercial arrangement between Aurora Digita and its supplier, does not change the price you pay, and does not involve a second payment recipient at the gateway level.

Current process: at present, Die Tonteldoos does not yet have a live, in-site payment gateway connected. When you add items to your cart and proceed to order, you are guided to confirm your order details via WhatsApp or email with Aurora Digita directly, and payment is arranged manually (for example by EFT) at that point. Your order is linked to your Die Tonteldoos account once confirmed.

Planned process: Aurora Digita intends to connect a standard South African payment gateway (card and/or Instant EFT) directly to Die Tonteldoos's checkout, so that payment can be completed on-site. This section will be updated with the gateway's name and an updated effective date once that is live. The underlying principle will not change: one simple, single-recipient payment to Aurora Digita, with the 85/15 supplier split handled internally as described above.

7. Discounts

From time to time Aurora Digita may run promotions or discounts on Die Tonteldoos. Any discount is set and adjusted by Aurora Digita's administrator, may be 0% at any given time, and is not a guaranteed or contractual entitlement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a promotional discount is absorbed within Aurora Digita's 15% platform share (Section 4) and does not reduce the amount payable to Die Tonteldoos as supplier.
